Welcome to Eleventh Hour Rescue

Eleventh Hour Rescue, based in Morris County NJ, is a primarily VOLUNTEER run, no-kill rescue that saves animals on Death Row from high-kill shelters.  Eleventh Hour Rescue dogs and cats are cared for by our compassionate and dedicated team of volunteers and staff. Whether in foster homes, our kennel or adoption centers, each dog and cat receives a clean and safe living environment, fresh food and water, medical attention, and most importantly an abundance of love and care until they find their FURever homes. We are dedicated to educating the community about the animal over-population problem and the importance of spaying and neutering. All funds go directly to supporting our animals and their needs.  We are an eligible charity under federal code 501(c)3 founded in 2004.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought many challenges and changes for each of us.  We are all trying our best to adapt to the “new normal.”  One thing we never anticipated seeing is the incredibly high demand for adoptable animals.  We are receiving hundreds of applications and inquiries every day.  Rescues all around the nation are having the same experience.  One ray of light amid this horrible pandemic has been the fact that so many homeless, abandoned, and neglected animals are finding their forever homes.   However, due to this high demand, and because we are a volunteer-run organization, we cannot always be as responsive as we would like. We kindly ask for your patience and understanding during these unprecedented times. If you’ve reached out to us and have not heard back yet, please accept our sincere apologies and know that we are working hard and doing the best we can in these challenging times. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support and willingness to open your homes and hearts to a rescue animal in need.
