Feed your passion for saving the lives of helpless animals by joining our AMAZING volunteer team!
You will meet some of the most passionate animal lovers in our area that are deeply dedicated to save the lives of animals that almost didn't get a chance for a TOMORROW. 

We have opportunities for you to help as much as your schedule allows in EVERY area of our organization and even from your home!

Donate your Time and Talents

• Care for our dogs & cats before they are adopted

• Clean our animal kennels and crates

• Exercise & socialize our dogs & cats

• Transport animals to vet appointments and adoption events

• Foster animals in your home

• Attend Adoption days and promote EHR

• Offer any services that benefit our animals or facilities

• Organize and run a fund or supply drive

• Greet and unload new animals from transports

• Process adoption applications (can be done from home)

• Participate in community outreach and education activities

• Maintain and repair the kennel and grounds

• Help at our Adoption Centers in Rockaway, Roxbury, or Kearny NJ

• Inquire about our Junior Volunteer opportunities (12 yrs+)

Other than a small staff at our Kennel and our Rockaway Mall Adoption Center, we are run completely by our caring, overachieving, passionate, selfless volunteers.  Even our Eleventh Hour Rescue officers do not get paid - we all get paid in kisses, purrs, and tail wags!
