Bosco dreams of the day he can leave kennel life behind for good. Sure, he's got some great "kennel buddies" who take him for walks or a dip in the lake. And lying on his bed chewing on an antler helps pass the hours in his kennel run. But that's not the same as having a REAL home.

Bosco previously lived in an apartment complex with a couple who adored him. They said he was a quiet, low key guy who just enjoyed being around them. But Bosco didn’t do well with other dogs he met in and around the apartment building & he was returned to us. As a result, we think Bosco would do best in a single family, adult-only home (as the only pet) since he does prefer a quiet lifestyle. A fenced-in yard would be ideal so that Bosco could spend time hanging out on his own property with perhaps a deck for just lying in the sun, something he loves to do.

If you take a chance on Bosco & give him your love, he will return that love many times over - he will be your loyal BFF for all his life. This big scruffy pup is very good on leash and makes a great walking partner. He is well mannered and patient, and knows when he needs to wait quietly at your side.  He does well in the car, too, though he does have a tendency to try to wiggle his way into the front seat rather than ride in the back. We usually compromise and he stands somewhere in the middle and leans into me which is fine 'cause he loves his people and is so happy when he gets the chance to get away from the kennel for a while. He's even happier if he happens to come across a pond or a lake while he’s out because he enjoys a dip in the water any time of year!

Bosco has been back with us for several years now and it’s a shame because he is a good boy that really deserves another chance at a home and family. In the meantime, he is loved dearly by his human friends at the kennel. In addition, Bosco takes treats gently, knows some basic commands and loves chewing on elk antlers (check out the video). And he was so well housebroken when he came back to us that he hated to mess his outside run!

Do you have the right situation for this boy & want to make Bosco's dream of freedom and a REAL home come true? If having one special dog in your life is enough for you, please consider Bosco and fill out a dog adoption application at www.ehrdogs.org

If you can't adopt right now but would like to give Bosco a break from kennel life (he's been back with us 4 long years), please consider fostering him.
